Moss Kendrix Marketer Award
Moss Kendrix was a public relations pioneer who left a lasting and major imprint on the way African Americans are portrayed through the power of advertising. Through his own firm, Kendrix counseled Coca-Cola, Carnation, Ford and other corporations on the value and importance of black consumers. He educated his corporate clients about the buying power of the African American consumer. In 1952, Moss Kendrix and three other associates launched the National Association of Market Developers. He was honored as the group's founder in 1978 and named President Emeritus.

H. Naylor Fitzhugh Humanitarian Award
Dr. H. Naylor Fitzhugh was among the first African Americans to graduate from Harvard Business School. He will long be remembered for the role he played in the development of African American business leaders and community leaders. Dr. Fitzhugh received his B.S. degree (cum laude) from Harvard in 1930 and received his MBA in 1933. Fitzhugh was a teacher, a businessman, a churchman, a family man, an advisor and a friend. He was one of the founders of NAMD and served as President and Chairperson.
